Download VSX

Current version:

VSX 0.433r (self-extractor) [ Hit F1 when VSX is running for help ]
    Released: 2003, 10th of June

We recommend that you download some VSX plugins, the default visual is just that - something to see if VSX is running.
See the category "VOVOID VSX PLUGINS" in the menu to the left.

Important note to previous VSX users on ATI Radeon cards:
We recommend that you download the visuals that you are using again since the previos ones have problems with 16-bit textures that really should have been 32-bit. This make things look 3 times better. And the new VSX version fixes vsync on those cards.

This is how to set up the current beta version of VSX.

1. Download VSX (see the download link in the menu)

2. Unzip it somewhere where you want it

3. Play some music in your favourite media player. Start VSX by double-clicking on VSX. Now if the visual is moving you don't have to do step 4.

4. Set up the windows mixer properly
This is the kind of tricky part if you're not accustomed with playing with the windows mixer.
What you need to do is set the recording level correctly so that the wave sound coming from your favourite media player can be read by VSX and other programs that record sound.
This is done by selecting options -> properties -> recording. Unmute the Wave channel and set the recording level to something nice. Do this while not running VSX full-screen and you can see the effects immediately. That should be all! If you still can't make it - go by our forums and ask for help!

5. This is when you have downloaded new visuals - just unzip them in the vis/ directory below VSX.
